Privacy
This notice explains how Lime uses personal information for this website, newsletter, enquiries and online training.
Who is responsible for your information?
Lime Consulting is a trading name of Lime Training and Consultancy Limited, the controller of the personal information described in this notice. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 04665290. Our registered office is 27 Old Gloucester Street, London, WC1N 3AX. Contact aml@limeconsulting.com or write to that address with any privacy question or request.
What information we use
We use contact details you give us when you enquire or subscribe, your correspondence and subscription preferences, and account and purchase records when you use our learning services. Training records can include enrolment, lesson progress, assessment attempts and results, completion and certificates. Our platform also processes technical information such as IP addresses, device/browser details, security logs and service usage. We do not ask you to provide sensitive personal information in an enquiry.
Why we use it and our lawful bases
We use enquiry details to respond and discuss the services you request, relying on steps before a contract or our legitimate interests in answering business enquiries. We use account, order and training information to provide the services contracted for, administer learning and support customers. We rely on consent for newsletter subscriptions; you can withdraw it using the unsubscribe link in an email or by contacting us. We also use records where necessary to meet legal obligations, including accounting, or for legitimate interests in security, resolving complaints and establishing or defending legal claims. Where legitimate interests apply, you can object.
Where information comes from
Most information comes directly from you or your use of our services. An employer or organisation arranging training may supply your name, email address and enrolment details. Existing customer and subscriber records may be transferred from Lime’s previous Squarespace and Teachable services to FreshLearn as part of operating the same Lime services. A platform move does not create a new marketing permission.
Who receives information
FreshLearn hosts this website and learning platform and processes account, learning and email-delivery information for Lime. Other service providers may support our email, business administration and accounting. Payment providers process payment information when a payment service is connected; their own privacy information also applies. We may share information with professional advisers or authorities where necessary and lawful. Where an organisation arranges your training, relevant enrolment and completion information may be provided to it to administer that training. We do not sell your contact details.
International processing
Service providers may process information outside the UK. FreshLearn describes international processing, including in the United States and India, in its privacy policy. International transfers must have the protections required by applicable data protection law. Contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your information.
How long information is kept
We retain information for the purpose for which it is needed, taking account of the customer relationship, course administration and evidence of training, unresolved enquiries or disputes, and applicable accounting and legal requirements. Enquiry records are kept only while needed to deal with the enquiry and any resulting relationship or claim. Subscriber details are used while your subscription continues; a minimal suppression record may be retained after an opt-out to respect your choice. Learning and transaction records may need to be retained after course access ends for completion evidence, customer support or legal obligations. You can ask us about the retention criteria for your particular records.
Your choices and rights
Subject to the circumstances and applicable law, you can request access, correction, erasure or restriction, object to processing, and request portability of information you provided. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful use. Contact aml@limeconsulting.com to exercise your rights; we may need to verify your identity. Requests are normally answered within one month, subject to lawful extensions. You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, telephone 0303 123 1113. Please also tell us about your concern so we can try to resolve it.
Cookies and similar technologies
The learning platform uses cookies or similar browser technologies for functions such as authentication, security, preferences and the learning experience. Some technologies are essential to provide a service you request. Other uses may require consent unless a legal exception applies. Browser controls can restrict or remove cookies, but this may affect sign-in and learning features. FreshLearn’s cookie policy provides further platform information. A notice being closed is not consent to optional tracking. Optional analytics or advertising should only be enabled with the controls required by law.
Providing information and changes
You can browse public information without buying a course. We need the requested account and contact details to deliver a course, guide or subscription; without them we may be unable to provide that service. This notice covers Lime’s use of information, rather than unrelated third-party websites. We will update it when our services or practices change. Last updated: 23 October 2026.
